When I read Oswald Chambers' My Utmost for His Highest, I nearly always search my soul and ponder his words. The following quote is an example.
"A child of the light will confess sin instantly and stand completely open before God. But a child of the darkness will say, 'Oh, I can explain that.' When the light shines and the Spirit brings conviction of sin, be a child of the light. Confess your wrongdoing and God will deal with it." Sounds simple, and it is, but it is not always easy. What stands in my way? Like the Israelites, I am stiff-necked and prideful. I think I can solve my own problems apart from God and I am the queen when it comes to making excuses for my actions or my attitude. Will I ever learn? Does anything ever stand in your way?
